Goodness sakes, it's been ages since Ive updated this page of mine...

So much is going on in my life right now....too exciting!   Of course, I am moving once again...craziness :)  I will have to post pics of my very cute apt that I am getting ready to move into :)  ... Derek will be moving also this month, to his very first house!!! YAY!!!!  He will be a homeowner, kinda scary he he  >:)  just kiddin d ... no, his house is extremely cute :)  definately fitting for him!

I am staying busy working at the hospital ...still... I can not believe this year will mark my 5th year there, but on the other hand, I am so thankful I've had plenty opportunities to get to know so many people there...doctors, nurses, hospitality staff, executive, CEO's, such a big world.......

Please pray for me as I pursue my passion in Physical Therapy!  Currently, I am enrolled in classes at OKCCC and shadowing at Jim Thorpe Rehab, with several PT's and a PTA.  I am lovin' it!  I have watched therapy on many people who have small surgies to huge life altering procedures such as removal of brain tumors and such...I am so blessed to be healthy!

Christian Perfection

by: Oswald Chambers

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfect . . .
—Philippians 3:12

It is a trap to presume that God wants to make us perfect specimens of what He can do— God’s purpose is to make us one with Himself. The emphasis of holiness movements tends to be that God is producing specimens of holiness to put in His museum. If you accept this concept of personal holiness, your life’s determined purpose will not be for God, but for what you call the evidence of God in your life. How can we say, "It could never be God’s will for me to be sick"? If it was God’s will to bruise His own Son ( Isaiah 53:10 ), why shouldn’t He bruise you? What shines forth and reveals God in your life is not your relative consistency to an idea of what a saint should be, but your genuine, living relationship with Jesus Christ, and your unrestrained devotion to Him whether you are well or sick.

Christian perfection is not, and never can be, human perfection. Christian perfection is the perfection of a relationship with God that shows itself to be true even amid the seemingly unimportant aspects of human life. When you obey the call of Jesus Christ, the first thing that hits you is the pointlessness of the things you have to do. The next thought that strikes you is that other people seem to be living perfectly consistent lives. Such lives may leave you with the idea that God is unnecessary— that through your own human effort and devotion you can attain God’s standard for your life. In a fallen world this can never be done. I am called to live in such a perfect relationship with God that my life produces a yearning for God in the lives of others, not admiration for myself. Thoughts about myself hinder my usefulness to God. God’s purpose is not to perfect me to make me a trophy in His showcase; He is getting me to the place where He can use me. Let Him do what He wants.

18You who are slaves must accept the authority of your masters. Do whatever they tell you--not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are harsh. 19For God is pleased with you when, for the sake of your conscience, you patiently endure unfair treatment. 20Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing right and are patient beneath the blows, God is pleased with you. 21This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps22He never sinned, and he never deceived anyone. 23He did not retaliate when he was insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. 24He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds!

Wow such powerful words and truth my heart finds reading this scripture....

Lately I have found myself disliking or ashamed for the person I am... I wish God could have blessed me with a more passionate, caring family... I wish God could have prevented the abuse, neglect, and confusion that I endured... most of all... I pray God will take this shattered life, pieces of colored glass and make something beautiful something that shines brightly

I pray for those childern who are hurting today and the days ahead... I pray for the childern who dont have understanding of God, who are being tortured with hate and abuse... who are alone and afraid...  I pray God heals and comforts those little hearts!!

Such a sad world, I cant wait until we all go home !!!!!!!!!!!

Still Human!

. . . whatever you do, do all to the glory of God
—1 Corinthians 10:31

In the Scriptures, the great miracle of the incarnation slips into the ordinary life of a child; the great miracle of the transfiguration fades into the demon-possessed valley below; the glory of the resurrection descends into a breakfast on the seashore. This is not an anticlimax, but a great revelation of God.

We have a tendency to look for wonder in our experience, and we mistake heroic actions for real heroes. It’s one thing to go through a crisis grandly, yet quite another to go through every day glorifying God when there is no witness, no limelight, and no one paying even the remotest attention to us. If we are not looking for halos, we at least want something that will make people say, "What a wonderful man of prayer he is!" or, "What a great woman of devotion she is!" If you are properly devoted to the Lord Jesus, you have reached the lofty height where no one would ever notice you personally. All that is noticed is the power of God coming through you all the time.

We want to be able to say, "Oh, I have had a wonderful call from God!" But to do even the most humbling tasks to the glory of God takes the Almighty God Incarnate working in us. To be utterly unnoticeable requires God’s Spirit in us making us absolutely humanly His. The true test of a saint’s life is not successfulness but faithfulness on the human level of life. We tend to set up success in Christian work as our purpose, but our purpose should be to display the glory of God in human life, to live a life "hidden with Christ in God" in our everyday human conditions ( Colossians 3:3 ). Our human relationships are the very conditions in which the ideal life of God should be exhibited.
